...born 1974 in Freiburg im Breisgau, grown up in the town of
'Fasnet' (a special kind of carnival),
Elzach.
After my Abitur in the year 1993 in Waldkirch, I completed
trainig for nursing in the Hospital Emmendingen in 1996. After that I worked
for a short time at the University-Hospital Freiburg, before I changed to the Loretto-Hospital in December 2004.
There I worked for nearly five years at the intensiv-care-unit.
A fantastic team, humanity and a real good mood for working made this time really nice. I hope this won't
change - and that there will not be made false economies...
Of course I like motorcycling, further I am mad about skiing and climbing.
I am very happy to do this trip together with my beloved boy-friend Carsten.
I want to be free to see parts of this great world, to get to know foreign countries and humans, and to leave our
very priviliged world of prosperity. In Germany the only thing you can`t insure is a trip around the world ;-))
Sure, I will miss my brothers and sisters Markus, Michael and Mechi and of course my parents.
And it´s an odd feeling to say good bye to all my friends for the next two years.
Also because of that we made this homepage and we`ll be glad about sign of life from home.

...born in 1972 in Baden (region near Basel / CH), grown up in the
Rheinland (region near Düsseldorf) and returned to Baden at the age of 14.
I learned to understand the people (nearly all ;-)) and their special dialect of Baden and I have
settled down well in Freiburg.
In the last 19 years I lived in such 'important' towns like Emmendingen (it names itself
'The door to the Black Forest'), Waldkirch (there I learned what to do on
Hemdklunker), Dottighofen (ok, it is only a district of a part of a town) and
Pfaffenweiler (well known for its Schneckenfest).
After completing three quarter of a training for mechanic, my alternative service and a complete training for
nursing, the daily work of a cardiological intensiv care unit did not satisfy me any more. So it was time for change.
I enjoyed three years on an adult-school (in Germany it is possible to make your A-level-certificate - called
'Abitur', also as an adult) and with a lot of fun I got my Abitur. Therefore
I moved to Freiburg - the German 'capital-city of solar-technology' and I like it!
It is not only that you can live very well in Freiburg - there are also many nice possibilities for motorcycling!
In the meantime I am working in an hospital again and, as second job, as free-working webdesigner.
To discover our planet by motorbike - who is not dreaming about it? So I am very happy, that I got the posibility
to do this with my 'better half' and girl-friend Alex and my HONDA XL 600LM.
