- Main- and site-stand
km 21900 After a long search and many questions the new main- and site-stand combinaton
has been constructed and installed!
We have to thank Ralf for the very motivated work on the 31.12.2004 (no day to work - for the most people...),
and his ingenious construction! THANK YOU!
The lost of the right rear foodstand is acceptable, also the reduced space ( about 3 - 4 cm less ) below the bike.
- Chain and gear set changed
km 21896 In spite of trouble with the very well sticked back gear ( with a bombastic adhesive - thank you MuZ
:-( ) we have changed the chain and both gears. So the well working CLS
now can cooperate with a new ( and clean...! ) chain-set ;-)
- Neopren gaiter
Now, MuZ wears socks, too ;-))
- elect. revolution counter
Thanks to Tommy - he had installed the revolution counter!
It wasn't easy to find a place in the very small cockpit of the Baghira, but we found one.
-
Chain lube system CLS®
After one afternoon in the garage it was done - XL and Baghira are equiped withe the processor controlled lube
system CLS®.
in cause of lack of space at both motorbikes, the blackbox was packed into the original tool-box.
Baghira carries the small oil tank under the rear - XL got another small box for it.
- Motor-protection shield
An original shield from an XTZ ws taken and has been modified with an extra sheed to protect the water-pump.
- 12-Volt socket
An original self-creation out of a film-box...
Because Alex would not damage the side-cover from her Baghi we searched and found a place in the
small cockpit.

- Chain and gear with another transmission
km 32999
For a longer life of the clutch and the chain, I installed a new chain and gears with another transmission -
original it's 15:40, I have changed to 15:44.
It causes a little bit less top-speed, but that's allright - we want to travel, not to race ;-)). Now the engine
makes its 4000 rpm at 90 km/h, before it was at 100 km/h. But we do not plan to drive much more than 100 km/h with the
whole lagguage and equipment - and this on German highways ;-))
- Touratech® 'Hawker'-battery
km 32950 After my XL brought me the first 'orgie in kicking' (she wouldn't start :-(( ), i installed the
Touratech®-Hawker battery, too. Not the cheapest, but well working at Alex' Baghira,
since a few months.
With the good result, that not only the XL starts now at the first try - without failing. Because the
'Hawker' is a few centimeters smaller than a regular battery, there is a little more space for tools e.g., too!

Chain Lube System CLS®
km 29850 Some tricks have been needed to install oil tank an black box at both motorbikes - a small baggage-space under
the seat, like the most modern motorcycles today have, was not really known from the constructors of our
motorbikes.
Xl has got another small box, made out of a PVC-pipe, which protects the oil-tank. It is installed at rear,
behind the original toolbox.
The high quality and the detailed description made it simple to install the CLS, also in lack of space!
First settings has been set fast and easy and so we are looking forward to the 'real' use.
- Box-system from Hepco&Becker - 'Gobi'
After sucessful installing the set of porters and boxes they mastered their first use in our last short-trip.
Gobi-Boxes at XL.
- Neopren-gaiter
XL in socks...
...hopefully, they will do their work for a long time.
- Toolbox
...made of stovepipe.
The first fixation of the clamps at the motor-sheeld was not very clever.
The motor-sheeld is fixed at the oil-drain plug from the oil-tank and this is only a M6 screw. I do not
like the risk of loosing the drain-plug in matter of a stone or s.th. like this.
This is the reason why I build two small sheets of metal which take the motor-sheeld and the weight
of the toolbox.
- 12-Volt socket
What the elctricien takes for his installation...
At the beginning a little to big, it takes an adaptor now.
- Main stand
- Tomaselli-bar 800 mm
- Heating grips
- Steelflex brake line
